Lonely Birthday Video January Ninth

Lonely Birthday Video January Ninth is a new year's eve song from the Republic of Uzbekistan, which is a very popular tourist destination. Uzbekistan is double land locked, meaning it is surrounded by landlocked countries.

Uzbekistan is a country with a fascinating history. Eighty percent of the country is desert even though it is bounded by two rivers. The Silk Road passes through Uzbekistan; Samarkand and Bukhara are famous cities on the Silk Road. Samarkand and Bukhara are about 2500 years old, as old as Babylon, and are still operational cities.

So, on the ninth day of the experiment I have found a video that sings happy birthday to a new year. It is not a song that sings happy birthday to a person. I have included it because it is an example of the music of Uzbekistan.

The music of Uzbekistan has quite an intricate structure. There is music that mostly men listen to! Also there are songs that convey the culture to the next generation. There is an elaborate system of classical Uzbek music.

The Uzbeks are familiar with rich arrays of instrumental tunes that are part of their folk music heritage. There are also songs for almost all aspects of life, such as work, lullabies, romance, etc. However, I have not been able to find a happy birthday song yet.

If you find a birthday greeting song from sunny Uzbekistan, please let me know at Lonely People Champion Facebook Page.

Happy Birthday to you. Here is the Ninth video of the experiment:
