Ukrainians like to eat pickled vegetables. It is Ukraine that introduced the world to borscht, the pierogi, chicken kiev among other culinary delights.

Ukraine is a talented airplane producer and also produces spacecraft and yet it is a net energy exporting country.

Ukraine has 457 cities but the population of Ukraine is shrinking by 150,000.a year. Life expectancy is falling. The nation suffers from a high mortality rate. Ukranians drink more alcohol per year than the Irish. Ukraine has a state subsidized healthcare system.

According to the Ukranian constitution, all its citizens have access to free education. The literacy rate is 99.4%. Ukranian is the language that is mostly spoken in Western and Central Ukraine.

Music is a big part of Ukrainian culture. Tchaikovsky was Ukranian. The song O Sole Mio was composed in Odessa, Ukraine.

In Ukraine, grand parents play a greater role in raising children. The easter egg, the pysanky, has deep roots in Ukraine.

So, on the thirteenth day of the experiment I have found a video from Ukraine that is very touching.
